Pengaruh Protean Career Orientation Terhadap Career Adaptability Yang Di Moderasi Oleh Perceived Employability Pada Karyawan Baru Generasi Z Sektor Jasa Di Kota Padang

Penelitian ini bertujuan menganalisis pengaruh protean career orientation terhadap career adaptability serta peran perceived employability sebagai variabel moderasi pada karyawan baru Generasi Z sektor jasa di Kota Padang. Penelitian menggunakan pendekatan kuantitatif dengan metode survei. Data diperoleh melalui kuesioner dari 120 responden dan dianalisis menggunakan Partial Least Squares-Structural Equation Modeling (PLS-SEM) dengan bantuan SmartPLS. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa protean career orientation berpengaruh positif dan signifikan terhadap career adaptability. Artinya, semakin tinggi orientasi karier yang mandiri dan berbasis nilai pribadi, semakin baik kemampuan individu dalam menghadapi perubahan dan tuntutan karier. Perceived employability juga terbukti memoderasi hubungan tersebut secara signifikan, tetapi dengan arah negatif sehingga memperlemah pengaruh protean career orientation terhadap career adaptability. Dengan demikian, hipotesis pertama diterima, sedangkan hipotesis kedua tidak didukung karena arah moderasi berbeda dari dugaan awal. Temuan ini memperluas Career Construction Theory dengan menunjukkan bahwa perceived employability dapat berfungsi sebagai sumber daya substitutif dalam proses adaptasi karier individu.
