This study aims to determine the effect of self-regulation on college adjustment in first-year students in Makassar City. This research is quantitative research with a correlational research design and involves 200 research samples obtained using an accidental sampling technique. Data were collected from the scale response and analyzed using simple linear regression. The results show a positive contribution of self-regulation to college adjustment of 47.5% (R2 = 0.475; Sig. = 0.000). These results confirm that first-year students are supposed to continuously improve their capabilities in responding to various situations to better adapt to the academic environment.
