Deflasi Di Indonesia : Harga Turun Atau Melemahnya Daya Beli Konsumen?

Abstract


Deflasi sebagai fenomena ekonomi dalam suatu negara yang ditandai dengan turunnya harga barang dan jasa secara umum, dan sering dianggap sebagai gejala positif bagi konsumen. Secara makro ekonomi, dampak dari deflasi bisa jauh lebih kompleks dan berpotensi merugikan perekonomian suatu negara jika berlangsung lama. Artikel ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui penyebab deflasi yang terjadi di Indonesia selama 5 bulan berturut-turut pada tahun 2024. Jenis penelitian ini adalah penelitian kualitatif yang menggunakan data sekunder berupa laporan perkembangan deflasi dari pemerintah indonesia, pendapat ahli dan data primer berupa wawancara langsung dengan beberapa penjual dan produsen komuditas pangan yang dijadikan responden pada kota/kabupaten di Provinsi Sulawesi Selatan yang terkena dampak deplasi. Artikel ini menyimpulkan bahwa deflasi yang terjadi di Indonesia selama 5 bulan berturut-turut pada tahun 2024 disebabkan oleh penurunan permintaan konsumen pada komunitas pangan dan produk hortikultura disebabkan karena daya beli masyarakat menurun.
